Stumbled on a video of the band I saw back in 1982. Back then Belew and Fripp were considered the 2 most innovated guitar players around. Belew just freshed out of Frank Zappa band and joined up with Fripp to make a perfect King Crimson.
Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, Terry Bozzio) first took the "stick" to its popularity which is like a bass + guitar in one instrument.
I can't tell you more, this is the one band that inspired Tool and their music. King Crimson opened for Tool while touring to promote Aenema CD. King Crimson actually blew Tool off the stage with their performance...watch the video for yourself
...well guess what, Stevie Wonder is touring again after all these years, now that is a must see concert for me. I saw this same video while watching this kid's show back in the 70's trying to learn English. I was living in Philadelphia, PA. USA at the time and this video taught me what the 'groove' is all about
...and who can forget this one from Argent. Trick question, which song did Argent wrote that Santana later made famous and the Vietnamese love to dance the Cha-cha-cha to??????? I bet you don't know...hahaha.
...and finally, I have yet to hear a better version of this song. No one have done it better, absolutely none. Watch how cool Sinatra is, how he finish his cigarette exactly when the song end, how the f*ck did he do that?
